| Water can damage the block over time to the point of wearing holes into coolant passages. If you are really "losing" coolant this could be the reason. Could be inside your engine where its not supposed to be. Worst case. However before jumping to that conclusion remember how coolant heats and expands in searching for a leaking flow. Check the entire coolant system. If it is something leaking while you are driving it then look for symptoms before, during, and after a drive. Check on the bottom of your hood for coolant spray.
